For those of you that really really want to see each little Origami creation I come up with every day thanks to my Origami of the Day calendar, you can add this feed to your RSS reader.

If you don't know what an RSS reader is, feel free to go here every day instead.

The Flying Karamazov Brothers  (2/3/2009 8:38 pm)

One of the things we did when we went to the Salish Lodge was to head to the Snoqualmie Casino and see The Flying Karamazov Brothers. For those not familiar, they're a juggling and comedy act. Well, I should say, they're a comedy act that sometimes juggles.

It was rather disappointing for me. I remember seeing them when I was a kid and being amazed at their talent. They did one number that involved juggling onto a large keyboard to make music. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen. Now they mostly just do their comedy sketches and some light juggling. They did one or two juggling acts I remember as a kid, but nothing nearly as impressive as what I recalled. What little juggling they did involved too much unplanned dropping, and the comedy wasn't my cup of tea any more.

Ah well, I guess it's just bet to let some childhood memories just remain memories.

   405 is actually better!  (1/26/2009 7:51 pm)

My commute as of late heading into work has been much better. I thought it might have been a fluke last week because people were on vacation or some such, but even today it was still better.

It looks like all of the construction they've been doing to 405 around the Coal Creek area is starting to pay off. They've managed to get rid of the choke point at the I-90 interchange, and I couldn't be happier.

The only bit that sucks is now I won't have as much time in the car to listen to my audio books. I'll live :)

Microsoft ACES Axed  (1/23/2009 7:06 pm)

I'm sure you've heard the news about Microsoft's layoffs. Well, one of the victims seems to have been the entire Flight Simulator team.

Sadly, this would also mean there won't be a Microsoft Train Simulator 2. That's just wrong. Of course, I was probably one of the few people looking forward to it.

I wish the best to those hit by this.

Germany takes on Combine Honnete Ober Advancer Mercantiles   (1/21/2009 5:09 pm)

I see that Germany is banning a drug called "Spice", and I immediately wonder what the navigators have to say about it.

Don't worry; I know you didn't get what I'm talking about. I'm just deep into Dune right now, working my way through all of Brian Herbert's books.

A friend of mine has released a game to Xbox Live Arcade's Community Games called Toxic.

Go, check it out! It's a fun puzzle game, I know I've been addicted to it for a while now.

   Engadget a quotable source  (1/14/2009 11:00 am)

Around work Verizon is doing some work, installing FIOS lines, apparently. The trucks all have this on the side of them:

So fast it hurts!
- Engadget

I'm sorry, but they might as well quote some blog for all the credibility Engadget brings to their endeavor. I just think it's funny Verizon is using something that's basically a glorified ad service (one that I like, nevertheless) as a source of marketing material.
