Noticed the car is over 5 years old today. Woo. Of course, this means no more free oil-changes for me.

The brakes have started to squeal at low speeds. It comes and goes right now, so I'll just wait till the next maintenance to have the dealership take a look.

Got the car washed today. The sunny weather is nice and all, but it sure does make the car look dirty quickly. I enjoyed the clean car for fifteen minutes before it started to rain.

I took the car in for the Washington state vehicle inspection today. They hooked up their computer to the car and determined it passed.

We got back from a 3000 mile car trip to Vegas today. The car performed perfectly on the trip, and the added bonus of having A/C made the trip bearable.

Notice a couple of deep scratches on the trunk today. Suppose it had to happen eventually, I just wish I knew who did it.

The 'Service Engine Soon' light came on. Guess I'll need to make a service appointment now.

I had the car washed finally. Of course, we're entering rainy season now, but it's amazing what happens after you park under the wrong kind of tree.

I replaced the stock cassette unit with an Aiwa MP32 CD/MP3 player. Finally having a CD player and an Aux in for my device is nice, and the radio reception is much better than the stock unit.

We took a car trip down to the Oregon coast. Wow, it's beautiful down there!

Finally got the windshield fixed at Novus. It was free, and easy to do.

The windshield suffered a nickel sized rock chip. Need to figure out who wants to repair it for me before it gets much worse.

Got the car washed as part of the maintenance today. Of course, one hour afterwards, it rains.

We finally passed 20,000 miles. Wow, I guess we’ve had the car for over a year and a half now, but it still seems like it should be brand new! I did notice something break finally. I noticed the little plastic piece that holds the seat belt buckle on the belt, and prevents it from falling to the floor when not in use snapped off. I’ll have to get that fixed.

Well, my hopes for keeping the car cleaner longer since I'm parking underground at work have been officially dashed. It seems that in the same sense nature abhors a vacuum, the car just gets dirtier all the quicker on my commute. I need to wash it again.

I’ve noticed that the gas mileage has begun to drop. This is due to the city driving my commute now takes me on. Somewhat annoying, but a gas car just isn’t as efficient at stop and go traffic as open highway traffic.

Finally, as the sunny days near an end, I decided to wash the car. This time, however, I cheated, and used the brush-less automatic car wash. It's always nice to have a clean car.

Wow, it’s already been a year. I had to put new tabs on the car today. I tried my best to get them lined up perfectly, and I did a good job, though you can still see the year below only because this year’s tabs are smaller. It certainly doesn’t feel like a year old car, but I guess it is now.

Finally hit 10,000. I noticed it when I parked at work today (on a Saturday), it was exactly at 10,000. Guess this means I can't call the car new anymore :(

Took the car to our first drive-in in the Saturn =). It was very nice; my only complaint is the clock. With the car on, the clock was rather bright and annoying; luckily I had a glove that we could use to cover it up, problem solved.

I washed the car again. It’s so nice to have a clean car once again, next time we need to not wait till it gets quite so bad :)

We finally took our first car trip! We spent a total of about five or six hours in the car. We went to Bainbridge (the long way), and stopped at various parks and went for walks. Traveled a total of about 200 miles, and we also went on our first ferry ride in the new car =)

I took the car in for maintenance today. It still doesn't feel like we've driven the car 3000 miles already, but I guess we did.

I finally washed the car again today. It didn’t feel that hot till we got out in the sun. We managed to wash the car in probably a quarter of the time it took us last time. =) All nice and clean again, hopefully for longer than 30 minutes this time.

We cleaned the car today! It looks new. Our next step was to take it Marymoor park and take some pictures. After all the dust, it doesn't look so new any more. But it still looks better than it did :)

Well, en route to the Wingdome today, I crossed over the 1000 mark. Our car isn't brand new anymore.

We got our new plates! It's odd, the car isn't new anymore, but it's very cool to finally have plates for our car!

After trying many different types, I finally got a Sony CD/Tape adapter that works with the Saturn's tape deck. Went driving for a bit just to enjoy being able to listen to CD's, next step is a real CD player for the car.
