Well, it's not as bad as I had thought it would be. Despite the fact they completely trash physics, this movie wasn't terrible.

It wasn't great either though.

Some scientists go off to explore mars. Tragedy ensues, and they mostly die. Some other scientists go off to rescue them. They find out the face on mars really does exist, and it's trying to talk to them. From this point on, the plot promptly enters a 2001 theme, complete with a pure white room and manages to play to the sci-fi fans out there, instead of the action fans.

This is the point where the plot starts to turn up a little bit. It's a shame this is very near the end of the movie, and they don't explore several fascinating plot points I wish they would have.

In the end, I just felt like I wasted a couple of hours on a pointless movie.
