It's a book essentially about computer programs. But, it's much more than that. It's about a group of intelligent beings trying to come to grips with fate, and learning how to play god. I saw a lot of similarities in our own struggles to understand and control DNA, with cloning and such. It's a great book, that raises some intense questions, such as where consciousness is, and what precisely free will is. -- Scott and Michelle
