on October 15, 2002This is a simple spoof of so 'Cops' and general police movies. Actually, at times it felt like an excuse for the principle actors to play parts that made fun of themselves, but it never really got all that clever. They managed to almost completely waste the talents of Robert De Niro, and Eddie Murphy didn't really manage to shine in this movie either.
There are some laugh-out-loud moments here, but they're rather few and far between. In the end it's a moderately silly movie that seeks to parody itself. Don't get me wrong, it's not a terrible movie, but it's also not a great comedy.
