Italian Job, The Release Year: 2003 Average Rating: Last Reviewed On: December 30, 2003 (by Scott) (DVD version) Scott's Review: on December 30, 2003 The Italian Job starts off, and pretty much keeps up as a standard fare quasi-good guy thief movie, similar in feeling to The Thomas Crown Affair. I suppose that's appropriate, since both movies are remakes of older movies. The one obvious difference, though, is the Mini-Cooper. The car pretty much plays a role in this movie. I'm a big fan of that car in general (who couldn't be after watching Mr. Bean?), so I really enjoyed the movie. The car chase sequences are really well done; they're fun to watch. I suppose the plot is standard fare enough that it wouldn't survive a second watching, but the action sequences are fun enough to pull the movie along. -- Scott and Michelle |
