Farthest Shore Author: Ursula K. Le Guin Average Rating: Last Reviewed On: June 18, 2005 (by Scott) Scott's Review: on June 18, 2005 This book feels like the other two Earthsea books. The story is pretty simple, but there are depths to it that you can appreciate once you've finished reading the book. At it's most basic, it's a story about what happens in the Earthsea universe when one wizard uses his power to avoid death. Ged must cross over into death without any hope of coming back to right the balance of the world. It's a fascinating tail that closes several sub-plots that started in the other books. -- Scott and Michelle |
