Summons, The Author: John Grisham Average Rating: Last Reviewed On: July 9, 2005 (by Scott) Scott's Review: on July 9, 2005 If you're expecting a complex legal thriller from Grisham, this isn't it. It's still a good book. We follow a law professor, Ray Atlee, on his trip back to meet with his dieing father about his father's will. Before he can arrive, his father dies, taking with him a long buried secret. Ray's quest to uncover this secret leads him to discover various secrets about other people, including himself. It's a good book, but at times it feels like a pretty standard who-done-it, and doesn't really leave much to the imagination. By the end of the book you'll be anxious to have the final big plot twist revealed, but it's still an enjoyable book. -- Scott and Michelle |
